Living Conditions

During the 1800s, the people had horrible living conditions. They had to live in crowded apartments with a bed in every room even the kitchen. The people were brought to the country to work in the factories and they thought they were going to live in great houses but they were put in crowded apartments with a lot of people. They had to live with many people some they didn't even know. The people were also treated horribly.

Working in the 1800s

The working conditions in the 1800s were not very good. The people had long hours that were like 56 hours long. Some of the things they had to use in a factory called the "Triangle Factory" were sewing machines, shirtmakers, bobbins, and piles of cloth crowded in this factory. And the people had to sit very close together in the factories.
