Inventions

There were many inventors in the 1800s. One of the inventors of that time was Andrew Carnegie, he invented the Bessmer Process which made steel stronger and cheaper to make. And after making this it helped with the production of bridges, skyscapers, and railroads. The way he did business was through the vertical integration which is owning all the parts of the rocess. Another inventor of that time was John Rockefeller, he worked with the oil industry. His way of business was horizontal integration which was owning all of the industry or as much as you could. Thomas Edison invented electricity and the light bulb. Westinghouse invented alternating current, transformer, and he also improved electricity. Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone which helped businesses grow.
